Emma: Hey John, have you planned anything for the holidays yet?

John: Hi Emma! Yes, I have. I am going to visit my family in New York. What about you?

Emma: That sounds great! I am visiting my sister in California. We are about to book our tickets.

John: Nice! When are you leaving?

Emma: We are leaving on the 20th of December. What about you?

John: I will leave on the 22nd. I will be traveling for a week.

Emma: That’s wonderful. By the time you get back, you will have celebrated Christmas with your family. I’m sure it will be fun.

John: Absolutely. And you? Any special plans while you’re there?

Emma: Yes, my sister and I are going to drive to Napa Valley for a couple of days. We are planning to visit some vineyards and enjoy the scenery.

John: That sounds like a perfect getaway. I will definitely relax and spend some quality time with my parents. We are due to have a family reunion on Christmas Eve.

Emma: That’s lovely. My sister is due to have her baby in January, so I want to be there to help her prepare.

John: How exciting! So, you are going to be an aunt soon.

Emma: Yes, I can’t wait! We will probably spend most of our time shopping for the baby and setting up the nursery.

John: That sounds like a busy holiday. I will make sure to take lots of pictures to share with everyone when I return.

Emma: Good idea. Oh, and I am planning to take a cooking class while I’m there. My sister found this great place that offers holiday-themed cooking lessons.

John: That’s fantastic. You will be able to make some delicious holiday treats then.

Emma: Exactly. And when are you due to return?

John: I will be back on the 29th of December, just in time for New Year’s Eve. I am planning to attend a party with some friends.

Emma: Sounds like you have it all figured out. I will probably just have a quiet New Year’s Eve at home.

John: Sometimes that’s the best way to start the new year. Enjoy your holidays, Emma!

Emma: You too, John! Have a great time with your family and safe travels!
